Explore New Digital Services

A shared digital service channel for everyone, the Citizen Portal, has been gradually taken into use. The Citizen Portal is also available in English, and through it you can book an appointment with a nurse, view or cancel your scheduled appointments, and fill in healthcare forms, among other things.

You can also download the new ÖVPH app, where you’ll find chat services and links to the most important digital services. This free app is available in the Google Play Store and the App Store under the name ÖVPH. It currently functions in Finnish and Swedish.

Four New Chat Services

The Wellbeing Services County has opened chat channels for the switchboard, rehabilitation services, and social services, serving all the region’s residents. Chat services are currently available on the Finnish and Swedish websites, but you can also use them in English.

You can start a chat by clicking the “Start chat” button (“aloita chat in Finnish, “Starta chatten” in Swedish) in the bottom right corner of the website or by accessing the chat through the ÖVPH app. You can begin the chat without a strong electronic identification. These new chats are available on weekdays.

– Our chat services provide a new way to interact easily and effortlessly with professionals. The services won’t replace existing contact channels but offer a different way to connect with social and healthcare professionals. Many find chatting more natural than calling, says project coordinator and nurse Mari Montin.

Chat services also include a nurse’s reception, which is currently in the pilot phase and only available to a limited test group. If you’re unsure whether you’re part of the test group, you can try logging into the chat. The nurse’s chat will become available to the region’s entire population in early 2026.

Development of these services is ongoing, and the website’s English content will also be expanded during the course of this year.
