Omaolo
Omaolo is an electronic service channel for social welfare, health care, and oral health care services. Omaolo supports self-care and directs the patient to appropriate assistance if necessary.
Omaolo will be taken into use gradually in Ostrobothnia. Omaolo is already in use in Pietarsaari, Larsmo, Pedersöre, Uusikaarlepyy, Mustasaari, Vaasa, Laihia and Närpiö.
The service has altogether 16 different symptom assessments or checkers, of which 13 are in use in Ostrobothnia. The following 13 symptom assessments are available for you in the region:
- Lower back pain or injury
- Urinary tract infection
- Diarrhea
- Painful or blocked ear
- Heartburn
- Shoulder pain, stiffness or injury
- Anal region symptom
- Knee symptom or injury
- Headache
- Discharge from the eye, watery or reddish eye
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Respiratory tract infection
Here you can directly contact health care personnel who, in turn, can provide feedback about your symptoms.
The service is available around the clock. If the completed answers imply urgency, the service redirects patients directly to the Medical Helpline or, in pressing cases, to the emergency response centre.
