Surgical ward 2

The ward treats gastrointestinal surgery patients (including intestinal diseases, acute abdominal pain, severe intestinal cancer surgery, biliary, pancreatic and liver diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases).
Patients come to the ward either through planned surgery through the preoperative unit or through the accident and emergency (A&E) department (approximately 60–70% of patients).
We want to provide our patients with a high standard of quality care. Professional competence, a confidential relationship of care, a positive atmosphere, good service and patient safety are the cornerstones of our nursing work.
The ward will treat patients either as planned surgery or receive them through the accident and emergency (A&E) department. Patients can also receive follow-up care from university hospitals.
