Changes to opening hours during the summer

• The Customer Service Centre for an assessment of the need for treatment still works during the summer, Mon – Thurs from 08:00 – 15:00 and Friday from 08:00 – 14:00 by calling the telephone number 06 218 9000
• The Medical Helpline is still available around the clock (24/7) throughout the summer, by calling the telephone number 116 117
• The Oral Health Care appointment booking service and advice service are available by calling 06 218 9100
• Emergency Social Services and Crisis Services are available by calling 06 218 9555 The Switchboard operates on weekdays from 07:00 – 17:00 by calling 06 218 1111
Changes to the opening hours of health stations
Health stations are closed on Midsummer’s Eve, 23 June.
The reception and emergency services of health stations in the Vaasa region, with the exception of Vähäkyrö health station, are located on the 1st floor of the H-building at the address Hietalahdenkatu 2-4, 65130 Vaasa. The reception works by appointment Mon-Thurs from 08:00 – 15:00 and Friday from 08:00–14:00 by calling the telephone number 06 218 9000.
Receptions are closed on Midsummer’s Eve, 23 June.
Vähäkyrö:
The Doctors’ reception is centralised from 3 – 30 July 2023 at Vaasa’s H-building. The Nurses’ reception works by appointment, tel. 06 218 9000. Vähänkyröntie 18. Entrance through the clinic door.
Laihia:
Doctors’ on-call receptions and nurses’ reception work by appointment, Mon – Thurs from 08:00 – 15:00 and Fri from 08:00 – 14:00 by calling the telephone number 06 218 9000.
The health station has normal opening hours throughout the summer, but activities are reduced. On Thursday 22 June, the health station closes already at 14:15.
Kruunupy health centre’s doctors’ reception is closed from 19 June – 16 July 2023.
Alavetel health station’s doctors’ reception is closed from 19 June – 30 July 2023.
Teerijärvi health station’s doctors’ reception is closed from 17 July – 13 August 2023.
Reception activities at health centres have been reduced from 4 July – 14 August 2023. Assessment of the need for care, guidance and counselling, Mon-Thu from 08:00 – 15:00 and Friday from 08:00 – 16:00 by calling the telephone number 06 218 9000.
The Pännäinen health station is closed from 19 June – 13 August 2023.
Activities at the Ähtava health station have been reduced to four days a week from 10 – 30 July 2023.
The Luoto health station is closed from 10 July – 13 August 2023.
Changes affecting diabetes units
Reception activities at diabetes outpatient clinics have been reduced from 19 June – 13 August 2023.
Pietarsaari outpatient diabetes clinic is closed on Fridays from 30 June – 31 July 2023.
Changes in the distribution of medical supplies
Activities at Pietarsaari’s medical supply distribution centre are reduced throughout July and August. Open Mon 12:00 – 17:00 and Thu 12:00 – 17:00.
Activities at Uussakaarlepyy’s medical supply distribution centre are reduced from 5 – 25 June and from 31 July until 20 August. During these times, the distribution of medical supplies is open on Tuesdays from 12:00–16:00 and closed on Wednesdays.
The distribution of medical supplies is closed at the following:
- Pedersöre medical supply distribution at the Pännäinen health station is closed from 19 June – 13 August. Calls to Pännäinen are transferred to Ähtävä.
- Luoto from 10 July – 13 August.
- Uusikaarlepyy from 26 June – 30 July.
Closed from 3 – 16 July 2023. Reduced activities from 1 June. Open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 – 13:30.
Closed from 12 – 18 June. Reduced activities 14 August – 3 September.
Changes in dental care
Vaasa, Vähäkyrö and Laihia
- Raastuvankatu closed from 10 – 30 July 2023
- Ristinummi closed from 10 July – 6 August 2023
- Tammikaivo closed from 3 – 30 July 2023
- Laihia closed for renovations 19 June – 13 August 2023, receptions in Vaasa service homes.
The clinic at Vaasanpuistikko is open all summer. Appointments as usual by calling the oral health care telephone number 06 218 9100.

• Luoto dental clinic closed from 5 July – 6 August 2023
Teerijärvi dental clinic is open until 30 June 2023. Closed from 3 July – 6 August 2023.
Kruunupyy dental clinic is open from Monday til Thursday and closed on Fridays from 26 June – 6 August 2023. People with toothache can get help from Pietarsaari on Fridays from 26 June – 6 August 2023.
