Social welfare guidance
Do you need guidance, counselling and information about social insurance, or social services as well as an initial assessment of your overall situation? Then you can turn to the social welfare guidance.
Call us when you need support, advice or information about social services. The guidance is intended for children, youth and families and for working aged adults. Our telephone hours are Monday to Thursday 8 am to 15 pm and Fridays 8 am to 2 pm.
Social welfare guidance is available locally at Vaasa Central Hospital, Malmska Health Care Center and Hospital in Pietarsaari and at Mustasaari Health Care Center. Social workers and social counsellors provide you with guidance, counseling and information on social services or social security, as well as an initial assessment of your overall situation.
The service acts as a coordinating link between healthcare and social services. You receive support to promote your well-being and health, as well as information about available service options. We offer you psychosocial support and guidance and can, if necessary, participate in planning your service and rehabilitation.
