Update of patient information system will affect services in Pietarsaari region over weekend

The patient information system will be updated in the Pietarsaari (Jakobstad) region on Saturday 19 March. The upgrade will cause a planned network downtime lasting all day. For this reason, no coronavirus testing will be arranged in Pietarsaari on the weekend of 19-20 March. Testing had already been discontinued on Sundays. We recommend that you take a home test if you have symptoms suggestive of a coronavirus infection.

The next time to apply for an official test in Pietarsaari is on Monday 21 March when there are exceptional opening hours for testing from 10:00-18:00. The official test is recommended for people in risk groups, social welfare and healthcare workers working with patients and clients, as well as for pregnant women.

The planned network downtime may also affect other services by causing delays and queues. We apologise for any inconvenience this system upgrade may cause.
