Exceptions to service opening hours during the summer
Below you can check the changes in your area. In addition to this list, there may be changes in the operations of, for example, outpatient clinics, housing units or social care reception centres, which are described on the unit’s own website.

Changes to opening hours at health stations
Receptions will close earlier on Thursday 23 June and are closed on Midsummer’s Eve 24 June.
Vaasa
Receptions for doctors and nurses are centralised at Tammikaivo Health Station (Tammikaivontie 4) from 20 June – 14 August. The reception is open Mon – Thurs from 08:00 – 16:00, Fri 08:00 – 14:15.
The reception of patients with symptoms of respiratory infections are still concentrated in separate rooms on the 1st floor of the main health station, Tammikaivontie 4. This also applies to those living in Vähäkyrö.
Tammikaivo health station is the only place you can visit without a previous telephone call if you need immediate help, such as with wounds and falls.

We close on Thursday 23 June at 15:00. Receptions are closed on Midsummer’s Eve.
Vähäkyrö:
Doctors’ receptions are centralised from 4 July – 7 August at the main health station (Tammikaivontie 4, 65100 Vaasa). Nurses’ receptions are open by appointment, tel. 06 325 8500, Vähänkyröntie 18, entrance from the door of the clinic.
Laihia:
Doctors’ emergency receptions and nurses’ receptions by appointment, telephone times Mon-Thu 08:00 – 16:00 and Fri 08:00 – 14:00, tel. 06 325 8200
Reception activities at health centres have been reduced in the summer. Care needs assessment, guidance and counselling Monday to Friday from 08:00 – 16:00, tel. 06 218 9000.
Normal opening hours at the health station throughout the summer, except on Thursday 23 June, when we close at 14:15.
The medical reception is closed from 20 June – 14 August, during which time reception is at the Oravainen Health Centre.
Larsmo Healthcare Station receptions are on Mondays and Thursdays 20 June – 10 July. The healthcare station is closed for receptions from 11 July – 14 August.
Bennäs nurse’s reception is closed from 13 June to 7 August. During that time the reception is in Esse.
Ostrobothnia Diabetes Unit
Municipal diabetes clinics have reduced reception activity during the time-period between June 20th to August 14th 2022.
Phone hours of diabetes nurses are functioning normally.
Pietarsaari Diabetes Clinic is closed on Fridays from 4th to 31st of July 2022.

Changes in the distribution of care products
Care supply distribution services are closed:
- Jakobstad/Pietarsaari 1–31 July.
- Pedersöre’s care supply distribution service is closed at Bennäs/Pännäinen Healthcare Station from 13 June – 7 August. Distribution takes place at Esse/Ähtävä throughout the summer.
- Larsmo/Luoto 11 July – 14 August.
- Nykarleby/Uusikaarlepyy is open on Tuesdays from 12:00 – 16:00, closed on Wednesdays from 20 June – 7 August.
Open all summer on Wednesdays from 12:00 – 16:00 and on Thursdays from 11:00 – 16:00.
On Thursday 23 June, exceptionally open only from 12:00 – 14:00.
Exceptional opening hours 18 July – 14 August: distribution on Mondays and Thursdays 12:00-13:30.
Changes in dental healthcare
- Gerby closed 18-31 July, 2022
- Vähäkyrö/Lillkyro closed 20 June – 31 July, 2022
- Tammikaivo/Dammbrun closed 4 July – 7 August, 2022
- Ristinummi/Korsnäståget closed 11-31 July, 2022
The clinics at Vaasanpuistikko/Vasaesplanaden and Laihia/Laihela as well as the teaching dental clinic are open all summer. Appointments are made in the normal way using the oral healthcare telephone number 06 218 9100.
