A care needs assessment may be conducted via telephone. The assessment determines the reason for contact, symptoms of the disease and their severity, and the urgency of the case based on information provided by the contact person.

If you want to cancel a reserved nurse or doctor’s appointment to the healthcare center, you can do it by sending a text message to the below number. Write your name, municipality, the appointment time you want to cancel and if you need a new appointment. If you have booked your appointment using the online booking system you also have to cancel it from there.
You can not cancel dental care and outpatient clinic appointments via our text message service.
When a client contacts the service, his or her care needs will be assessed and the client will be given instructions for self-care concerning his or her health and illness and, if necessary, an appointment will be booked with a doctor, nurse, or physiotherapist. Where appropriate, the client is urged to contact the correct treatment centre.
Nurses and doctors receive both urgent and non-urgent cases at health and social services centres. Health and social services centres primarily provide health care services at general practitioner level. Contact information for nurses and appointments that can be booked electronically are provided for respective health and social services centres.
