Welcome to the Paediatric Outpatient Clinic

The Paediatric Outpatient Clinic operates as a referral outpatient clinic. At the outpatient clinic, we examine and treat children and adolescents aged 0–16 who need specialised medical treatment. The Paediatric Outpatient Clinic provides many admissions for a variety of problems and illnesses.

We implement holistic care based on equality and justice. A valuable and respectful encounter with patients and their relatives is at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is to provide child- and family-oriented care that is effective and of high quality.

Our team includes doctors, nurses, ward secretaries, specialists and ward domestics. We also have close cooperation with the Paediatric Ward, the Children’s Neurology Unit, the Youth Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic and ward, and the Research Units.

In order for your child to have an appointment at the Paediatric Outpatient Clinic we need a referral, which your child can receive from a health centre, maternity clinic, school or private doctor. A paediatrician will assess the urgency of the referral and based on this we will invite the child to visit the Paediatric Outpatient Clinic. The first visit is usually a doctor’s appointment. If follow-up checks are needed, a nurse’s appointment may also be considered.

Please arrive on time to allow time for registration and review your data on the digital Kanta Services.
