The pandemic and vaccination groups of the Wellbeing Services County of Ostrobothnia have gathered to discuss the wearing of face masks in social welfare and healthcare premises as well as new vaccine preparations that are tailored to provide better protection against variants of the coronavirus.
Coronavirus vaccines are widely available in the Wellbeing Services County of Ostrobothnia. A fourth coronavirus vaccination is now being offered to those over 60 and to adults belonging to risk groups. According to a new recommendation from the Finnish Institute of Health and Welfare (THL), the elderly and those belonging to risk groups will be offered a new booster dose later in the autumn. According to estimates, new booster doses will be given in October at the earliest.
